Peggy Menaker is the founder of Fit For Print LLC.

Leveraging more than 18 years of professional experience as a newspaper writer and staff editor
, Peggy is adept at developing new copy and skilled at improving what others have written.

When it comes to publicity, Peggy understands that being newsworthy is an absolute necessity. She
emphasizes to her clients that publicity, in the form of unpaid editorial press coverage, is different from, but as vital as, paid advertising and a presence online. She consistently demonstrates to clients that this kind of publicity is available to them.

As the print industry continues to change, Peggy is able to evaluate when it is appropriate to write and submit a press release. She knows what editors want and how information should be sent to them for online and print editions. By prepping her clients on how to submit their completed press releases to local news outlets on their own, Peggy is able to offer reasonable fees.

Following graduation from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Peggy worked in Manhattan for six years as a reporter-editor on the staff of the Daily News Record, a Monday-to-Friday trade newspaper published by Fairchild Publications. She left to raise her children but kept her skills sharp as a volunteer writer and editor. She is the founding editor of Viewpoints, a newsletter that was published by the NCJW Center for Women, of which she is the founding chairwoman.

Accomplished in the kitchen as well as the newsroom, Peggy was a cooking teacher for many years. Her excellent language skills served her well when it came time to write class recipes, as well as prep instructions for assistants, at the Kings Super Markets' Cookingstudios in New Jersey and Sur La Table's culinary school in Manhasset, NY.  A former board member of the New York Association of Culinary Professionals, Peggy was editor of that group's Food for Thought newsletter

When her youngest child left home for college in 1996, Peggy joined the editorial staff of The Progress, which was a privately-owned community newspaper covering six New Jersey communities. The paper was purchased in 1998 by Recorder Publishing and the new owners asked Peggy to remain on board. During her tenure at the paper she held the positions of Sports Editor, Lifestyles Editor and Arts & Entertainment Editor and, although she loved her work, the persistent idea for a freelance consulting business compelled her to consider leaving the paper. Confident that her plan would succeed, Peggy resigned from her job in 2008 to develop and launch her entrepreneurial, freelance venture. She is proud that her clients, as well as their words, are always Fit For Print.
